Semi-permanent makeup information
Beneficial for...
- Anyone who desires the freedom from daily make-up application - Sports, or active, people and those with oily skin who tend to lose their makeup love the convenience of long lasting cosmetic make-up. - People with sparse, thinning eyelashes and eyebrows. Particularly eyebrows that start to thin on the ‘outer third’. - People with allergies to make-up - Physically impaired or people with shaky hands e.g. Arthritis, M.S. - Visually impaired e.g. poor eyesight - Alopecia sufferers - Those who have experienced Chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Permanency of MicroPigmentation
The length of time the pigment remains in the skin depends on the health of the skin and the your skins ability to absorb the pigment. Permanency also depends on the pigment colour implanted. The yellow-based pigments will fade before red or blue based. The natural fade out time of the pigments will vary tremendously from one person to another. The time range is from eighteen months to four to five years. The average time is 3 years. The lighter the initial pigment colour, the more quickly it fades
As aging is a continual process, which means natural lightening of the kin and hair, the fading of the pigments gives the opportunity to change pigment colour with each re-touch. Dark coloured eyebrows may look great on a twenty or thirty year old but not at all flattering by the age of fifty or sixty. Discomfort Factor
Topical Anaesthetic’ s developed especially for the use of MicroPigmentation are used before and during the whole procedure. Discomfort is kept to a minimum. It must be remembered that there is a variance of pain tolerance between people. Some discomfort is to be expected. Other factors that may influence discomfort levels are tiredness and menstruation. Recovery Time
The healing of the skin will take an average of seven days. Most people will experience flaking of the skin. Some clients may have crust formation on the brows. During the healing process there will be a 20 –30 % colour loss as the pigment heals from the epidermal layer of the skin. Number of treatments needed
The original treatment will need to be followed by a second treatment 6 – 8 weeks later. The cost of which is included in the original price. The Cost
For these highly skilled procedures only the very best quality equipment and pigments are acceptable. The cost depends on the area being treated, the amount of pigment used, all the disposable implements, topical anaesthetic, other materials and the skill and expertise of the practitioner. Your therapist has over 8 years experience in MicroPigmentation and there is generally a wait list for bookings. Consultation
If you are unsure if MicroPigmentation is for you, have a free consultation with Deborah to discuss your particular needs. Knowing all the facts will give you the confidence to proceed with this time saving procedure when you are ready. Touch-up Treatments
All touch up treatments cost $150 per hour. Extra will be charged if appointment goes over one hour. It is important not to let the pigment fade out too much before getting a retouch or you may be charged full price instead of the touch up rate.
